Research and developement

One of the most important parts of our job consists in continuously checking the features of coffee we produce. In 2009, the company Mlab, technological spin-off of Caffè Moak, is set up with the aim to create useful synergies offering cutting-edge technologies and qualified expert advice. Moak is one of the few Italian companies featuring an in-house chemical lab.

Thanks to highly sophisticated equipment, daily checks are carried out on incoming green beans, but also further tests in compliance with Moak’s quality standard. Moreover, the new Research & Development group also deals with preliminary studies required to develop new roasted coffee blends. Blends that are studied to meet the needs of an increasingly wide and varied clientele, like the one Caffè Moak boasts all over the world. Additionally, the laboratory even carries out checks on waters barmen use to prepare the blends, in order to guarantee an excellent preparation in cup.
