28.06 With more than 300 short stories arrived from all over Italy, the 15th edition confirms its annual success. Announcement is closed, and now we just wait for the outcome of the panel to see who is going to step on the podium. Cinzia Tani, a woman, will preside over the panel this year. Writer and journalist, she just published her most recent book “Donne Pericolose” (Dangerous women); she teaches writing at the Luiss of Rome and is radio and broadcast author. Well-known TV personality of Rai Uno (Italian State Television), she daily hosts “Uno Mattina Caffé”. Thanks to her cultural merits, she was honoured with the prestigious title of Cavaliere della Repubblica (Knights of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic). She will be joined by two other women, who were part of the panel already last year: Elena Stancanelli, writer who became finalist at the Premio Strega 2016, and journalist for “Repubblica” and “il Manifesto”, and by Enza Campino, winner of the Premio Mauri 2015 as “bookseller of the year” and responsible of the column “parola di libraio” (word of the bookseller), cultural insert of Il Sole 24 Ore. The pool also includes two devotees of Caffè Letterario Moak: Santo Piazzese, writer of Palermo, recognized among the protagonists of the so-called “Mediterranean noir”, and Gianluca Morozzi, writer and rock musician. The Top 10 stories will be published in the anthology “Stories about coffee”, and the 2016 cover will be dedicated to writer Gesualdo Bufalino.
